Description
This blue and white bottle is decorated in bright shades of cobalt blue with a continuous landscape with people standing near a lake. The neck is decorated with motifs of antiquities and borders of dots and clouds.
This bottle of Kangxi blue and white porcelain was produced in Jingdezhen in China during the reign of the Emperor Kangxi. Kangxi blue and white porcelain features delicate and refined designs, inspired by the periods that went before. These designs are combined with great technical skills to make high quality porcelain with a brilliant under-glaze blue for the painting and a fine white glaze applied to a very white body. The most beautiful examples of Kangxi blue and white porcelain rival any other Chinese blue and white porcelain produced during earlier periods.
