Bronze dagger trident hilt

This decorated bronze hilt from a short sword has a truly wonderful malachite blue patina. The hilt has a diamond-shaped pommel and a bumpy surface of small round dots on the handle that provides a good grip. The decorated lower part of the hilt has three spikes on both sides. The middle of the hilt has a raised part, possibly to hold inlay. Daggers like this consisted of a bronze hilt, handle and pommel, with an iron blade.
