Description
This oak carved frame is made in the Northern Netherlands, in the first half of the 17th century. The lavish frame is carved with two seated winged putti at both sides, two lying putti at the top and the head of a winged putti at the bottom. The putti's are surrounded by scrollwork with roses and leaves. The two seated putti both hold a small bunch of flowers. The inside border of the frame is carved with a rotating motif.
